Chapter Strikes Gold
Again!

For the 6th consecutive year, the Mid-Michigan Chapter has been awarded the Gold Circle of Excellence award! The award is given to chapters meeting a list of criteria designed by the Society to reward excellence among it's chapters. The chapter is one of only 77 chapters out of the 150+ chapters worldwide to receive the Gold Award.

Many thanks to everyone who contributed to the chapter winning this award. A special thanks to Dan Burgess who coordinated the collection and documentation of all the necessary information required for submission of the award application.

We continue to set the standard high for our chapter and will keep working hard in the future to achieve continued success. Michael Sanders will be leading our Circle of Excellence initiative during the 2009-2010 chapter year.

The next Chapter meeting will Wednesday, March 10th. 11:30 am. Lexington Lansing Hotel (formerly the Sheraton Lansing). Cost: $18.00

Menu selction is your choice of Oriental Vegetable Noodles or Beef Skewers served with a romaine salad and mousse for dessert.

Speaker will be Mark Hooper from the Rotary Club of Lansing. Topic: The Four Way Test to Make Ethical Decisions.

Welcome

Welcome to the Mid-Michigan CPCU Chapter! It is our pleasure to welcome you to our website. Check back often for the latest available information about scheduled meetings and events.

The Mid-Michigan chapter is comprised of insurance professionals whose goal includes investing time and energy in equipping themselves to better serve the public. Our chapter is committed to continuing education, professional development, and service to others.

Our board is made up of very dedicated and conscientious individuals with diverse backgrounds. This allows us the opportunity to learn from each other and work together with great synergy to serve our members needs.

We have many programs in place that offer our members the opportunity to participate and learn. Committees have been established for I-Day, Circle of Excellence, Membership, Welcoming, Good Works, Education, Scholarships, among others.

The activity of our committees this past year resulted in the Mid-Michigan Chapter donating $3,000 to Families of Spinal Muscular Atrophy, an association providing support to families with children suffering from this terrible disease. Additionally, we provided $3,000 for scholarships, given to deserving college students that have displayed a commitment to insurance education.
